Quito is elevated at 2,800 metres above sea level, which makes it the highest official capital city in the World. Quito’s historic centre is one of the largest, least-altered and best-preserved in the Americas and moreover Quito, along with Kraków, were the first World Cultural Heritage Sites declared by UNESCO in 1978. Bangin’ Baños – Top Things To Do
Baños (de Agua Santa) is a small city in the Andean highlands of Ecuador situated under volcano Tungurahua. Its name, which is Spanish for “Baths (of sacred water),” comes from the famous hydrothermal springs in the area.
