San Pedro de Atacama is a Chilean town which lies at an average of 2,400m above sea level. Although we would soon be much higher in Bolivia, this was our first time at this altitude which made everyday tasks a bit of a chore! (more…)

Visiting Iguazu Falls, from Two Different Countries
Iguazu Falls is the point at which the Iguazu River reaches and cascades over the Paraná Plateau, on the border between Argetina and Brazil. The vast majority of the river runs through Brazil, originating at Curitaba. Disappointingly enough for Brazilians, though, the river stabs Brazil in the back at the last minute as the largest portion of the falls lies in Argentina. (more…)
3 days in Edinburgh
As a surprise birthday present for my 25th, Sarah booked us flights and a hotel in Edinburgh last October. It’s a lovely, albeit tiny, city with lots to see and do, regardless of your age or taste. We spent 3 nights and 4 whole days exploring the city, which was a perfect amount of time to see everything we wanted. (more…)
3 days in Amsterdam
Amsterdam was a strange choice for us; given its reputation and its increasing popularity as a stag-do destination its not the kind of place we would usually visit. There’s a lot of culture to Amsterdam, but it’s somewhat overshadowed by the red light district and the weed. None-the-less, we wanted to take a City break and Amsterdam was somewhere we hadn’t been, so off we went! (more…)
